At Truejobber, we strive to ensure a transparent and fair experience for both clients and freelancers. This Cancellation and Refund Policy is designed to outline the guidelines and procedures regarding cancellations and refunds on our platform. By using our services, you agree to abide by this policy.
Cancellation of Projects by Clients:
- Clients may initiate a cancellation of a project they've posted on Truejobber. However, the eligibility for cancellation and the refund amount, if any, will depend on the project's current status and the stage of work completion by the freelancer.
- If the freelancer has not started working on the project, the client is eligible for a full refund of the project fees.
- If the freelancer has already started working on the project, the client may be eligible for a partial refund, based on the portion of work completed and the agreed-upon milestones.
- In cases where the project is substantially completed, clients may not be eligible for a refund. However, exceptions may be considered based on the specific circumstances, subject to review by our support team.
Cancellation of Projects by Freelancers:
- Freelancers have the right to cancel their engagement on a project posted by a client. However, they are required to provide a valid reason for the cancellation.
- If a freelancer cancels a project before any work has been initiated, there will be no penalties or fees, and the client will receive a full refund.
- If a freelancer cancels a project after starting the work, they may be subject to penalties or restrictions on their account, and the client may be eligible for a partial refund based on the work completed.
- In the event of a dispute between the client and the freelancer regarding the cancellation, our support team will mediate the situation and make a fair determination regarding refunds, if applicable.
Dispute Resolution:
- In cases where there is a disagreement between the client and the freelancer regarding cancellations or refunds, both parties are encouraged to engage in open communication to resolve the matter amicably.
- If no resolution is reached through direct communication, either party can reach out to our support team to mediate the dispute. We will thoroughly investigate the situation and make a fair decision based on the evidence provided.
Refund Processing:
- Once a refund has been approved, it will be processed within 7 business days.
- The refund will be issued to the original payment method used for the project.
Exceptions:
- This policy is applicable to most situations, but there may be specific cases where exceptions are considered based on individual circumstances. Such exceptions will be at the sole discretion of Truejobber.
- Truejobber reserves the right to update or modify this Cancellation and Refund Policy at any time without prior notice. Users will be notified of any significant changes to the policy. It is recommended for both clients and freelancers to review this policy periodically to stay informed about the current guidelines.
